Applause, music and applause. Again music, applause and the occasional Bravo! from the public that was effusive with the interpretation of Michael Nyman Band on Saturday night at the Teatro Degollado.

The British band, which was presented in the city as part of the Festival Cultural de Mayo delighted the audience with a Baroque program masterfully executed and consisted of some of the most important pieces of soundtracks he has composed his leader Michael Nyman .

The evening began at 20:40 hours with the issues Chasing sheep is best left to shepherds, Queen of the night, The dispotition of the linen and An eye for optical theory, The Draughtsman's Contract.

After that they continued with songs like watching Prawn, Interval, Coupling and Splashing, A Zed And Two Noughts and The Musicologist Scores. The band also offered themes of the film The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and her lover, Prospero's books and Water Dances.

After its presentation in Guadalajara, the British band will continue with shows in different parts of the country, such as Mexico City and Guanajuato.

Michael Nyman Band for 35 years doing international tours. Their leader received in 2011 the "Ivor Novello Award", the most important annual award for classical music.
